The Celta facilities continue to grow steadily, with the goal of becoming a benchmark in the world of sports. The Celta360 project is moving forward with the idea of offering a modern and versatile space, capable of hosting individual and group immersion programs tailored to the needs of each club or person who wants to live the Celta experience.
While the construction works progress as planned, the club continues opening its doors to teams from different places, thus strengthening its international projection. A recent example was the visit of Wexford FC, a club that was able to enjoy the Celta experience, in this case, at the renovated A Madroa facilities, where they learned firsthand about the Celta methodology.
During their stay, the Irish women’s team maintained a close connection with As Celtas; attending a first team training session, carrying out their own sessions, and sharing some joint activities with the Cadetes (U16). They also experienced the excitement of an official match at A Madroa, where they were honored during halftime, and had the opportunity to visit the Abanca Balaídos stadium and tour the city of Vigo. The experience was completed with a friendly match against As Celtas’ Infantil team and a triangular tournament with Lóstrego and Mos, in an atmosphere of sport and shared learning.
The Wexford FC coach highlighted that this experience was “unforgettable and very positive, both on a sporting and personal level”, allowing the players to “learn, enjoy, and build friendships”. One of them also pointed out the differences between Irish football, which is “more physical,” and Spanish football, which is “more technical and faster,” emphasizing how valuable it is to experience both styles.
With initiatives like this, Celta and its facilities strengthen their commitment to offering top-level spaces and creating new connections with international teams. It is another step towards a global project that combines sport, education, and shared values, and one that fills the entire club with pride.
