Fede, Salva, Basti and Fausti travelled from Uruguay to Vigo to enjoy everything the A Canteira Experience programme has to offer. Over the course of a week, the four participants immersed themselves in the daily training routine of A Canteira, training at Celta’s facilities and sharing the pitch with young players of other nationalities. It was an opportunity to improve their football skills, discover new training methods and learn in an environment that promotes both sporting development and personal growth.
Beyond the training sessions, the experience also allowed them to get closer to Celta’s history and identity. The young players and their families toured ABANCA Balaídos Stadium, visited the Celta museum and explored the city of Vigo, rounding off a stay in which football was the common thread of an experience they also shared with their loved ones.

The A Canteira Experience programme goes beyond work on the pitch. Sharing time with players from other countries, experiencing a different training methodology and gaining first-hand insight into how a professional club operates turn every stay into an opportunity for learning and personal enrichment.
The visit by Fede, Salva, Basti and Fausti also strengthens the bond between Celta and Uruguay through international football development. Since 2022, in collaboration with La Costa Fútbol, a total of 34 young Uruguayan footballers have travelled to Vigo to take part in one of the experiences organised as part of A Canteira Experience.
This track record reflects the continuity of a project designed to open A Canteira’s doors to international talent, share the club’s values and create experiences that go beyond sport.
From Uruguay to Vigo, every stay adds new stories, lessons and memories. Because A Canteira Experience is not just about training at Celta’s facilities, but also about discovering the club’s identity, sharing a passion for football and taking home an unforgettable experience.
