The Celta360 project continues to make progress as one of Celta’s major strategic investments in the future. The Ordinary and Extraordinary General Shareholders’ Meeting, held on October 20 at A Sede, approved a capital increase of €10 million allocated entirely to driving the development of Celta360, reinforcing the club’s commitment to an initiative designed to strengthen its youth academy, training, innovation and sporting growth.
The approval marks another step forward in the financial planning required to bring the project to life. Celta360 is already beginning to take shape at the Afouteza Sports City in Mos and represents a long-term investment in the club’s future.
During her address to shareholders, Celta president Marián Mouriño highlighted the importance of Celta360 in consolidating the club’s growth and continuing to strengthen its sporting foundations.
The president placed particular emphasis on A Canteira, the club’s youth academy, as one of the fundamental pillars of the Celta360 project. She also stressed that developing new infrastructure and capabilities is essential to nurturing talent, strengthening training and supporting the club’s sporting development.
In this regard, Celta360 forms part of a long-term vision aimed at building a Celta with greater growth potential, strong roots in its local community and the capacity to meet the challenges of the coming decades.

One of the main topics discussed at the meeting was the financial strategy planned to fund Celta360, whose overall cost exceeds €100 million.
The approved capital increase forms part of a financing structure that combines several sources of funding: equity contributions, bank financing and funds from CVC. The objective is to distribute investment requirements in a balanced way, limit the financial impact and preserve the club’s economic stability.
During the presentation of this strategy, Celta’s chief financial officer, Miguel Ángel Amo, stressed the importance of developing the project without compromising the club’s financial sustainability. He also explained that the club continues to work with banks and other financial partners to secure the necessary funding. According to the information presented at the meeting, negotiations are at an advanced stage.
The financial plan also allows for the possibility of further capital increases over the next three years, should the project’s needs require them.
The approval of this transaction reflects shareholders’ backing for a strategic initiative aimed at Celta’s growth. The proposal includes the issuance of new shares and establishes a preferential subscription period for existing shareholders, in accordance with the approved terms.
The transaction is based on a clear principle: securing the resources needed to move Celta360 forward while also protecting the club’s sporting project and maintaining its stability.
As Marián Mouriño explained during the meeting, the work carried out to structure the financing serves a key priority: enabling the club to grow without putting its sporting project at risk.

Beyond its financial and infrastructure dimensions, Celta360 represents a commitment to Celta’s overall development. The project aims to create the conditions needed to strengthen training, drive innovation and continue building the club’s sporting future from its own roots.
In this context, Carlos Cao, director of infrastructure and institutional relations, provided an update on Celta360 and outlined its role in the development of the youth academy, training and sporting growth.
With the approval of this first capital increase and ongoing negotiations to complete its financing, Celta360 has taken another step forward. The initiative is designed to support the club’s long-term evolution, strengthen its growth potential and continue building a future in which A Canteira and Celta’s identity remain at the heart of the project.
