Celta360 welcomed a delegation from the School of Architecture at Inner Mongolia University of Technology (China), comprising Zhang Pengju, a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and one of the leading figures in regional architecture in China; Liang Lan, Director of the University’s Talent Recruitment Department; Wang Zhiqiang, Professor and Vice Dean of the School of Architecture; and Chaoming Li, Professor and Researcher, currently a visiting researcher at the University of A Coruña.
The visit gave the delegation the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the progress of the Celta360 ecosystem and to explore the spaces that will shape a project designed to bring together sport, education, innovation and services within a unique environment. The tour was led by Jesús Irisarri, one of the architects responsible for the design of Celta360, together with Ismael Fernández from Celta’s Infrastructure Department. They shared with the visitors the project’s key architectural, construction and functional features, while also providing an update on the current stage of the works.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences on the design of spaces dedicated to sport and education, sustainability, innovation, and the planning of infrastructure with a significant social impact. The distinguished backgrounds of the delegation members—particularly that of Zhang Pengju, renowned for his research in regional architecture, sustainability and the development of construction solutions adapted to local environments—enriched a discussion on the challenges facing contemporary architecture and the role that projects such as Celta360 can play in addressing them.
The visit further highlights the growing international interest in Celta360 as an innovative project capable of attracting leading professionals and academic institutions, while underscoring the value of knowledge exchange between universities, researchers and experts in the fields of architecture and construction.
