Celta and Wakatake Group renew their collaboration agreement, strengthening a strategic relationship that has been consolidated over the past eight years and continues to grow with new shared objectives. The signing took place this morning in the Salón Regio at A Sede, with the presence of Fernando Iturbe, Business Development Manager of Celta360, representing the club, and Joel Santos Boedo, CEO of the Japanese entity.

The renewal of the agreement includes two clearly differentiated lines of work. On one hand, the framework agreement between Celta and Wakatake Group consolidates a long-standing relationship, reinforcing and expanding the lines of collaboration that both entities had already been working on. This framework includes the development of player experiences integrated into the club’s youth football system, hosting groups in Vigo, and organizing official Celta clinics in Japan, always following the methodology and values of the club.

On the other hand, the agreement incorporates a second line aimed at the international expansion of the project beyond Japan, with the inclusion of TFL as a new strategic partner. This collaboration will allow joint work on the development of programs and experiences in markets such as the United States and Scandinavia, expanding the project’s global reach and projection.

In addition to the signing of the agreement, representatives from Wakatake Group and TFL took advantage of their stay in Vigo to see firsthand the day-to-day operations of Celta’s youth academy and the practical application of the club’s methodology, as well as to attend a match at A Madroa. Representing TFL were Manuel Morcillo Martín, Director of Scouting and Representation, and Víctor Muñoz Martiañez, General Director. Additionally, the Japanese television channel Dosanko TV was represented by journalist Seto Masato, who traveled to Vigo to produce a report on the training and daily lives of young players within the club’s environment.

Through agreements like this, institutional visits, and collaborations with foreign media, Celta, through Celta360, continues to strengthen its relationship with Wakatake Group, which has made a strong commitment to the club and positioned its project in Vigo as its most significant initiative in Spain, thereby consolidating a joint path based on trust, training, and the development of youth football at an international level.

All three parties agreed on the highly positive impact of the agreement. From Celta, Fernando Iturbe highlighted the satisfaction and pride in consolidating an eight-year relationship now integrated into the Celta360 project, which reinforces existing lines of work and opens new strategic markets such as the American and Scandinavian markets with the inclusion of TFL. For his part, Joel Santos emphasized that the goal is to continue nearly two decades of collaboration, strengthening international training initiatives and moving toward a globally interconnected ecosystem. Finally, Manuel Morcillo stated that for TFL it is an honor to join the alliance, with the aim of combining efforts across markets and contributing to the international growth of both the brand and the club.
