Salón Regio at A Sede hosted the presentation of the inaugural edition of A Canteira Experience Showcase this Monday, a new initiative promoted by Celta360 in collaboration with Panda Sports. The project has been launched with the aim of further showcasing Celta’s youth development methodology on the international stage.
The first edition of the Showcase brings together 28 boys and girls from 11 different nationalities, aged between 8 and 20 years old, figures that reflect the international scope and ambition of a project integrated into the A Canteira Experience programme.
During the presentation, the partnership between Celta360 and Panda Sports was highlighted as the beginning of a long-term collaboration aimed at developing new joint initiatives in player development and talent identification.
From 3 to 6 August, participants will enjoy an immersive experience within the club’s professional environment. Over the course of four days, they will gain first-hand insight into Celta’s training methodology, take part in coaching sessions led by academy staff, and have the opportunity to showcase their talent in front of the club’s sporting department.
The participation of female footballers in this first edition also represents an important step forward in the project’s growth, in line with the club’s commitment to the development of women’s football and the continued progress of As Celtas.
The programme will take place mainly at the club’s training facilities in A Madroa and will include six training sessions, sporting evaluations, educational workshops, final matches, and visits to some of the club’s most iconic locations, including ABANCA Balaídos, A Sede, Cidade Deportiva Afouteza, and the construction site of the future Celta360 complex.
“With this new project, Celta360 aims to establish A Canteira Experience Showcase as a permanent fixture in our annual calendar, with new editions planned over the coming seasons focused on developing both male and female talent,” said Fernando Iturbe, Celta360’s Business Development Manager, during the presentation. “Our goal is to further strengthen Celta’s position as an international benchmark in the holistic development of footballers while offering young players from around the world the opportunity to experience first-hand the values, methodology, and day-to-day work of A Canteira.”
