This morning, Celta hosted an institutional visit from the dean of the Official College of Architects of Galicia (COAG), Luciano González Alfaya, who toured the facilities of the Celta360 ecosystem alongside Manuel Martínez Carazo, president of the College’s Vigo branch, to gain first-hand insight into the current progress and implementation status of this strategic project promoted by the Vigo-based club, following similar visits last week by other institutions such as the Regional Government of Galicia, the University of Vigo, and the Mos Town Council.
The Dean was accompanied by architects Jesús Irisarri and Javier Rivas during a tour led by Celta’s Director of Infrastructure and Institutional Relations, Carlos Cao, who outlined the evolution of the works and the key construction milestones of a complex set to become a benchmark in the fields of sport, education, innovation and sustainability. “The entire architectural design of the complex is very modular, highly executable, and has a virtue that works for all the uses we want here,” Cao explained during the visit.
During the visit, attendees had the opportunity to explore the different areas that will make up Celta360, an integrated ecosystem designed to generate new opportunities for social, educational and economic development in Galicia.
The tour also addressed the technical and construction challenges associated with a project of this scale, highlighting the architectural value of a complex designed to integrate efficiently into its natural surroundings. Celta360 aims to become a benchmark not only for its sporting, educational and social impact, but also for its architectural approach, conceived to deliver an integrated experience tailored to the needs of its diverse users.
“Celta360’s architectural project is very contemporary in many aspects, not just regarding the buildings. Furthermore, the commitment to reforesting the surroundings with native species is already noticeable,” Jesús Irisarri commented, noting the dean’s curiosity before starting the visit.
The club remains committed to promoting these types of meetings with institutions, organisations and professional groups, with the aim of bringing the project closer to key stakeholders across Galician society and sharing the progress of an initiative that will contribute to Galicia’s economic, social and territorial development.
